My overall gifting philosophy has changed & morphed over the years. I want to give meaningfully and even created this handy gift brainstorming worksheet to get me thinking intentionally before checking out or clicking “buy now”!

That being said, I still do 90% of my shopping on Amazon. I love coming across products that really fit our friends & family – either because I know they’ve been wanting it or I know it’ll be an awesome surprise! And it’s all the better if I don’t have to leave the house and can get it in 2-day free shipping. (If you’re new to Amazon,Β you can get a free 30-day trial of Prime that’s perfect for Christmas shopping here.*)

I have been on the giving and receiving end of some incredibly thoughtful, useful, fun gifts from Amazon. To help you in brainstorming and purchasing something special for everyone on your list, you can find recommendations for all kinds of folks here πŸ™‚

Gift ideas for lovers of all things organized

We all have a mom, or friend, or sibling who lives by “A place for everything, everything in its place.” In my family, that’s me – so I feel especially qualified to recommend these 4 organizers that are my absolute favorite!

Also, a woven basket* or storage cubes* are perfect, too!

Gift ideas for clean freaks

I also am someone who doesn’t mind getting a vacuum for Christmas – and I know there are plenty of others out there πŸ˜‰ If you have someone on your list who loves things clean, consider making their job easier with one of these gifts:

Also, for smaller items or stocking stuffers – this set* or these items* would be perfect on any budget!

Gift ideas for sentimental types

If you’re looking for a gift that is automatically meaningful and sentimental – think photos! These are wonderful gifts for significant others, grandparents, and any other person your list that loves a good memory.

PS – those socks can be hilarious depending on the facial expression of the photo you choose! For Father’s Day, my husband got socks with the grumpiest face of our son, and he loved it πŸ™‚

Gift ideas for guys who love tech

Our family has LOTS to recommend in this category thanks to my nerd of a husband! (Said lovingly, of course.) Seriously, from anyone who may want to learn about electronics with an Arduino to a gamer who wants a full set-up, I’m sure you can find something they would love. πŸ™‚

Gift ideas for chefs and “foodies” in the kitchen:

Whether you are buying for someone who spends a lot of time in the kitchen out of love or out of necessity, these gifts can make his/her time there just a little better. These are by far some of our favorite gadgets!

For the creative types or DIY / crafters:

Each of these gifts have been a hit for our friends or family with creative hobbies. If you’re shopping for someone with a hobby that isn’t shown here, just use the search bar below to start finding product that match theirs! For example, a quick search for “woodburning”, “watercoloring”, etc. will bring up tons of ideas. Add “tools”, “accessories”, or “guides” for different ideas. πŸ™‚

For the health-conscious:

We have some awesome friends and family who are so disciplined when it comes to healthy, non-toxic, intentional lifestyle choices- as well as others who are great at exercise and taking care of their bodies in other ways. If you have someone on your list like this, check out some of the different ways you can support them!

Frequent Flyers or Travelers

Do you have any family members or friends that travel a lot for work or for fun? There are lots of neat products out there to make their travelling more comfortable!

For the kiddos:

Ah, kids! The best (and easiest) people to buy for. Over the years, we’ve found some great educational gifts for my niece that she loved, as well as some fun gifts for the whole family!

Personal Favorites / Honorable Mentions πŸ˜‰ (because I love them!)

I’m always a fan of just plain cozy gifts. This is my ideal day bundled in a few gifts – maybe it’ll get your brain going for the person on your list!

Last but not least, did you know you can give Amazon Prime as a gift*? If you love it as much as I do & know one of your friends and family would too, it’s an awesome option! I think this would especially be helpful for new parents who would love to avoid a shopping trip or even homebound family members who have a hard time getting out of the house.

  1. Really like this!! πŸ™‚ Especially how you break it down into who the gifts would be good for! Although I’m not elderly and was thinking about how much I would like that rotating photo frame since we have so many pictures of the kids around but dont get to display them πŸ™‚

    • Thanks, Katie! You are totally right – I think the electronic photo frame is such a great solution for so many ages. I gifted it to my grandmother who is currently in a nursing home, and she has enjoyed it all year. It’s so easy to add new photos, too! Hope you get it somehow πŸ˜‰ Happy Holidays!
